Petition

TO OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES:

We, the undersigned, Citizens, residents, voters of the state of NEW JERSEY, exercising our Constitutionally guaranteed right to petition our elected representatives for a redress of grievances, do hereby exercise that right in the following matter:

Because of chronic and serious instances of misapplication of the law as intended by the state legislature and abuse of the constitutionally guaranteed Right of Due Process by the Division of Family and Youth, known commonly as DYFS, its agents, employees or representatives towards Parents and Guardians of minor children resulting in de facto abuse being committed by that Agency (DYFS) on these children, We petition YOU, our Elected Representatives to do the following:

Amend the present law governing DYFS, its agents, employees and representatives, to give to Parents and Legal Guardians full Right of Due Process, the same as accorded any criminally charged person within the State, including:

The right to know what they are being accused of from the very first accusation and through the entire       investigation and process.

The right to have a Third party of the Parents or Guardian choosing present anytime a DYFS representative is       present.

The right to have a Third party of the Parents or Guardian present when minor children are being questioned.

The right to be notified prior to any DYFS or school initiated questioning of minor children.

The right to electronically record any contact between the Parents or Legal Guardians of any conversation with       any DYFS agent employee or representative.

Petitions may be signed and mailed to P. O. Box 640, Cape May, N. J. 08204 or sent to your elected officials.

Please remember not one of us is as strong as all of us!
